Dr. Hofmann, the son of a diplomat, had the privilege of living and studying in five third world countries before he began his doctoral studies in dentistry at the UT Health Science Center Dental School. He has been a member of the ADA, TDA and the Dallas Dental Society for most of his 43 year career and served as head of the Dallas Dental Emergeny Services. He developed a tough repair material to rescue teeth in difficult situations. Ironically, it saved him during a remote month-long mission to deep Africa. Whether with Indigenous Indians or urban patients, he employs innovative concepts and techniques to overcome the many challenges of oral and general healthcare.
